I recently came across my father's air force photo album. While I obviously can't take credit for the photo, I was able to take very small, old photos and scan them. I don't know what type of camera was used, though I can only assume it was something like an old Kodak Brownie. The shining moment in my father's life was the days he spent in the United States Air Force during World War II. He was a flight engineer stationed ultimately in Tinian, in the South Pacific. He always wanted to go back there in his later years. Ironically, shortly after he left us in 1974, one of the annual reunions was held there.
A pacifist at heart, he and his friends enlisted to serve their country shortly after the bombing of Pearl Harbor. |

To see my father on a horse made me laugh! A Jewish man from Brooklyn, NY on a horse in Lubbock, Texas, just seemed funny to me. It was a side of my father that I never saw!!!

My niece Sarah loved to pose for the camera from the moment she was born. Her face would light up and she would be the perfect model. This photo was taken using my Canon AV-1 with the 100-200 mm zoom. A combination of room lighting and a Canon Speedlight flash were used . |

On a trip the Florida in 2002, I was able to capture this portrait of my mom using an 85 mm lens and a combination of room lighting and flash. Some of the best images of my mom were taken at that time. In Loving Memory of my mom, who passed away on December 6, 2004 at the age of 85 |
