Victoria Holman
Victoria is a self-taught artist and musician who began painting at the
age of nine when her mother introduced her to the works of Aubrey
Beardsley and Edmund Dulac.
"I'm a big fan of 19th century English Art and literature and feel a
special kinship to that time in History. I also love Japanese woodblock
prints as well as the works of Delacroix, Ingres and Francisco Goya and I
encourage students to study the works of the great artists of the past."
Victoria's first love is music. Her musical influences range from Bach to
the Beatles, but she mostly loves to play songs with beautiful and
intricate finger picking. She is a big fan of Leo Kottke, Pierre Bensusan
and other guitar "finger style" masters.
"I believe that art and music open us up to the divine in our universe."
Victoria displays her original paintings and prints in her charming
gallery located in the quaint little town of Kapaau on the Big Island of
Hawaii. If you are visiting the Big Island please drop by and see her at
Victoria Fine Art Gallery.
Victoria enjoys living on the Big Island where she hikes and swims and
where, she says: "The air is soft, the colors brilliant and there is no
end to the natural beauty. I feel really blessed to live here."
Victoria's art tells the story of the eternal feminine in a style that is
at once simple and meticulously detailed.
We invite you to wander through Victoria's world of fantasy and
imagination.
